Strawberry Shortcake Murder by Joanne Fluke is the second book in the Hannah Sweensen series. Lake Eden is hosting the first ever Hartland Flour Dessert Bake-Off. Hannah is one of the Judges and one of her fellow judge is murdered. She decides to look into is since the police think is his wife might have killed him. As she is checking into the murder she discovers someone is blackmailing some of the residents of Lake Eden. Why she is looking for a murder she is putting a stop to the blackmailer who also is murdered by the original murderer. So now she is looking into two murders instead of the one. She discovers who the murderer and is almost his next victim. This was a great read with several great recipes in the book. I am ready to read my next Hannah Sweensen mystery.

A Cast-Off Coven by Juliet Blackwell

A Cast-Off Cove by Juliet Blackwell is the second book in the series called A Witchcraft Mystery. Lily has a vintage clothing store in San Francisco. She is asked by the San Francisco School of Fine Arts to check into some possible paranormal activity going on at the school. The students and faculty members hear a lot of loud noises in the bell tower. The school offers her some Victorian-era clothes that was found in an old closet. While at the school they find a man dead so Lily has decided she has to look into it and see who killed him. She also has to figure at who or what is haunting the school. This was another great adventure with Lily and I can not wait until the next book which will not come out until June 2011.

Bookplate Special by Lorna Barrett

Bookplate Special is book three in the Booktown Mystery Series by Lorna Barrett. Tricia's roommate from college, Pammy, comes to town and stays with her. After Pammy has been with Tricia for two weeks, and is caught stealing from Tricia, Pammy is told to leave. Well later on that day Pammy is found dead by Tricia. So Tricia decides she has to find out who killed her old college roommate. Along the way she finds out about the local Freegan and more about here friend and employees in the Stoneham. I loved this book as well as the others that I have read so far. I can not wait to read the next book in this series.

Bookmarked For Death by Lorna Barrett is the second book in the Booktown Mystery Series. Tricia gets a reclusive author to come to her shop for a book signing. The author is found dead in Tricia's bathroom. Well the sheriff doesn't real look into the murder so Tricia does to find out who did it. Along the way she discovers other things about the author and has to put the pieces together to find out who killed her. I am so enjoying this series the books move along at a pretty god clip and can not wait to read more.

Dance With The Devil by Sherrilyn Kenyon is another book in The Dark Hunter Series. This is Zarek's and Astrid story. Artemis wants Zarek killed and Acheron thinks he is worth saving. So he convinces Artemis to let Astrid one of the goddess of justice to judge over him. Astrid has to find out if he is worth saving or not. She finds out why he acts the way he does will trying to judge and falls for him in the process. It was another great Dark Hunter novel with lots of action and some romance. I am ready to read another book in this series.

To Many Crooks Spoil The Broth by Tamar Myers

To Many Crooks Spoil The Broth by Tamar Myers is the first book in the series called A Pennsylvania-Dutch Mystery. The book is set in the Pennsylvania-Dutch area. The store actually is set in the PennDutch Inn that is run by Magdalena Yoder. In this first book there is a guest at the Inn who falls down the stair and dies. Magdalena fears a lawsuit than foul plays but then another ends up dead and Magdalena wants to find out who did it. The nonsense way Magdalena runs the Inn and deals with her sister is quite interesting. I can not wait to read the next book in this series to see what happens at the PennDutch Inn. You will also find recipes with these stories.

Every Which Way But Dead by Kim Harrison

Every Which Way But Dead by Kim Harrison is book number three in The Hollows Series. Rachel and Ivy's partnership and friendship is still changing and becoming something they both can live with. Rachel and Nick's relationship has ended since there were things Nick could not deal with about Rachel. Jenks gets mad with Rachel and moves out of the Church. Rachel and Trent's relationship has changed again when she saves his life again. Kisten and Rachel start to explore their relationship as well. Rachel gets one of her Demon marks removed from Big Al but a new from another Demon. I am so ready to read the next book in this series.

Night Embrace by Sherrilyn Kenyon

This is another Dark-Hunter book. This book is Talon's story. He is Celtic and had pissed off a Celtic God when he was a mortal. Sunshine takes him home when he is ran over by a Mardi Gras float. They discovered that she was his wife in a past life. But the Celtic God he pissed off is back and trying to harm Sunshine. Acheron comes to help and figure what is going on. They discovered that two Gods are working together to get their god hoods back and kill Sunshine in the process. I loved the book and can not wait to read the next book.

Oolong Deadby Laura Childs

This is another great book in The Tea Shop mysteries. Theo discovers her ex-boyfriend Jory's sister dead. So Jory comes back to town for her funeral and asks Theo to look into her death. Will she is looking into her death she also comes across the items she was investigating for a new story. Theo thinks they are connected some how to her murder. Theo's current boyfriend is not happy with Theo looking into the murder of her ex's sister. It was a great read with some good recipes in the back I can not wait to read the next book.

A Vieled Deception by Annette Blair

A Vieled Deception by Annette Blair is the first in a new mystery series called Vintage Magic. Maderia comes home for her sister's wedding. At her sister's engagement party her fiances ex-girlfriend is found murdered in her sisters bedroom. Maderia decides she has to find out who killed her since her sister is the prime suspect. Maderia, called Mad by her friends, gets clues from the wedding dress on who could be the murderer. Mad also talks to and sees ghost. I can not wait to read the next book.

Dead In The Family by Charlaine Harris

I just finished reading Dead In The Family by Charlaine Harris. It is the most recent Sookie Stackhouse book. I normally do not buy hardbacks but I was caught up with this series and could not wait for it to come out in paperback. I was not let down by this book. I continue with Sookie healing from the Fairy War. Eric's maker comes to town and there is issue for him and Sookie while his maker is in town. Sam and all of the two-natures are stilling dealing with them coming out to the world. There is talk of legislation governing them including taking away some of there rights.

So if you have not gotten this book to read please do so it is a great read.

Bad Moon Rising by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Bad Moon Rising by Sherrilyn Kenyon is another book in the Dark Hunter series. This is Fang's store one of the Kattalakis's brothers. Fang is a Were Hunter. The story is about the problems he faces in the war of the lycanthropes and his forbidden love. I enjoyed this story just as much as all of the others in this series. I am looking forward to reading more of these stories in this series.

Where There's A Witch by Madelyn Alt

This is another installment in the Bewitching Mysteries Series. This one finds Maggie finding a murder at a local church. She ends up going to a church fundraiser for new construction on to the church since it is to small for its congregation. Tara ending up losing her phone at the fundraiser during the day and noticed that night it was missing so they went to look for it and find the body. Maggie also makes a choice between Tom and Marcus. So if you have not read this series I would recommend it to you.

Murder is Binding by Lorna Barrett is the first in a series called Booktown Mystery. I enjoyed this mystery and can not wait to read more in this series. The stories are set in Stoneham, New Hampshire a town that was dying out. One of it citizen's a realtor though it would be a good idea to make the town full of bookstores and each store specialize in a certain type of books. Tricia owns the mystery book store called Haven't Got a Clue. Her neighbor at the cookery is found dead and the sheriff thinks Tricia killed her and is not looking anywhere else for a murder. So Tricia has to clear her own name.

Flirt by Laurell K. Hamilton

Flirt is the latest installment in the Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter. This is a more laid back book than the others but still just as good. Anita is relaxing with the boyfriends in this one is learning how to flirt some. Anita has a client who wants her to raise his deceased wife and Anita turns him down. He has her kidnapped and things go downhill from there. He has a group of werelions to kidnap her. Well things do not go as planned and there is trouble to be had. I can not wait for the next book in this series.

The Silver Needle Murder by Laura Childs

The Silver Needle Murder is number nine in The Tea Shop Mystery series by Laura Childs. Charleston is holding its first film festival and Theo is catering most of the events. Well at the opening festivities one of the famous directors up for an ward is murdered for everyone to see. After the murder two of the judges quit and Theo is asked by Timothy Neville the festival organizer to step in and help. Also Timothy's granddaughter is a suspect in the murder and Timothy wants Theo to look into the murder. This was another great book in this series and I can not wait to read the next one in the series.

Dead Witch Walking by Kim Harrison

Dead Witch Walking by Kim Harrison is the first book in The Hollow Series. This book was great and since it is the first one in the series it will give you back on the main characters in the story. This background information does not take up a lot of the book, but it helps move the story along for it gives very important information why a character is acting a certain way. This is a paranormal book that believe is classified as Urban Fantasy. There is a great amount of action that goes which helps move the story along. The interaction through the main characters is quite interesting.

So here is some info on the book. The main character in this series is Rachel Morgan she starts out working for the Inderland Security,I. S., as a runner. She quits her job since she hates and one of the other worker, Ivy, also quits with her. I. S. is upset about and put out a hit on Rachel, so most of the book she is try to avoid being killed. Her and Ivy decide to go into business together. Jenks, a Pixy, also goes with them. All of three of them move into a church together. So I can not wait to see what other mischeif that they get into in their adventures.

The Kitchen Witch by Annette Blair is part of a trilogy called the Accidental Witch. This is the first book in the series. The book is set in Salem, Massachusetts. Single dad Logan moved back to his home town of Salem and is a producer for WHCH. He is called back into work for an emergency and his neighbor and mentor suggests he get Melody to watch his son since she is not available. He is reluctant to since of the rumors he has heard about her. She agrees to watch his son if she gets him on at the TV station. Logan has no idea she has her mind set on the cooking show host job. The problem is she can not cook. This story is so funny with the mishaps in the kitchen and the sexual tension between Logan and Melody. I can not wait to read another book by Annette Blair.

Fantasy Lover by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Fantasy Lover by Sherrilyn Kenyon is a great book. It is the second book in the Dark-Hunter/Dream-Hunter Series. It does not mention the Dark-Hunters at all but if you other books they reference the main character Julian in other books. Also a couple of the other characters are in other books. This one is about Julian being cursed by a God to a book to be a love slave when a woman summons him out of it for an entire month. Julian's mother is Aphrodite the Goddess of Love. Grace summons him out of the book on her birthday to humor her friend Selena. She thinks it doesn't work but after Selena leaves Julian shows up. I hope you will enjoy this as much as I did.

So with the help of her new boyfriend, Detective Mike Quinn she goes to solve the case. Also she lets Matt, her ex-husband, know that she is over him and never wants to be back with him and that she is now dating Mike.
