Decaffeinated Corpse by Cleo Coyle

Decaffeinated Corpse is the next book in the installment of the Coffeehouse Mysteries. Clara is back at her Village Blend Coffee House. Her ex-husband's, Matt, friend has created a decaffeinated coffee tree so that the beans from that tree is naturally decaffeinated and is not a processed decaffeinated bean. There is some who is after the plant it seems and out to ruin Matt's friend bu framing him for murder. But Clare knows things are not as they seem so she starts investigated the incidents that are not adding up to her. The murderer is revealed by the end of the story. Also Clare relationship with Detective Mike Quinn has started to go past them being just friends. It is going to be interesting to see how the relationship develops in future books.

This book is an anthology of vampire stories

Bite is an anthology of 5 different authors with all of them being vampire stories. The first one is by Laurel K Hamilton and it is an Anita Blake story called the Girl Who Was Infatuated with Death. It was a story were girl wants to be turned into a vampire since she has cancer and is having her leg amputated and thinks the cancer has spreaded.

The next story is by Charlaine Harris and is a Sookie Stackhouse store called One Word Answer. In this story Sookie is informed of her cousins death and meets the Queen on Louisiana. This a quick story and introduces a couple of new characters and has Bill and Bubba in it as well. Bubba is one of my favorite vampires in this series since he seems so lovable for a vampire.

The next story is by MaryJanice Davidson and is called Biting In Plain Sight is book about a vampire who lives in a small town and everyone has accepted here there and does not comment on the fact that she is a vampire. One of the local me have always had a crush on her and finds away to be with her when a series of girls commit murder and Sophie thinks it is a vampire who is causing the girls to kill themselves.

The next story is by Angela Knight called Galahad Caroline is a new Majae in the Mageverse. Caroline has a vision and goes off to find the Vampire in her vision to tell him about it. Mageverse is there to protect humans from those who would harm it and was created by Merlin.

The last story is by Vickie Taylor and is called Blood Lust. Daniel Hart is a microbiologist who makes a synthetic blood that could help the world but the man who was funding his research beats him and takes everything that he has including his fiance and is revealed as a vampire. Daniel wants revenge and the only way he knows how is by being turn into a vampire himself. He kidnaps Deadre and get her to turn him into vampire. Deadre does not want to turn him to a vampire and refuses but eventually she does turn him by accident. Daniel with Deadre goes after the vampire who stole Daniel's research.

Hex Marks the Spot by Madelyn Alt

Hex Marks the Spot by Madelyn Alt is the third book in the Bewitching Mystery Series. This one starts off with Maggie and Liss going to the open day of the Farmers Market. There is a lovely armour that Liss loves that is made by a local Amish man that she bids on and losses. The Amish man ends up murder and Maggie has to find out who did it. By the end of the book the murderer is and people are shocked again since it is a person in the church that people have always looked to for help. Maggie has also accepted her gifts more by the end of the book.

I hope to be reading the next one in this series very soon. I have enjoyed the first 3 books in the series. I love learning the complicated relationships of the characters. Maggie is such a great character who learns that their other people out there just like her who feels things that can not be explain. Liss is Maggie's boss and mentor helping her deal with her empathic abilities. Then there is Maggie's Mom and we all can relate to her relationship with her mom. There is Deputy Tom Felding and the struggles that Maggie and him are having in their relationship when Tom is not as open about things that are paranormal. There is Maurice then Liss's and Maggie's free and is also helping Maggie cope with her empathic abilities.

Two books this time

The first books is an anthology of stories by Sherrilyn Kenyon. Born to be BAD is a book with three stories from the Bureau of American Defense aka BAD. Bad is a government agency that is not know except to its agents and the President. They operate outside of the guidelines of all the other agencies without the restrictions of rules.

The second book is the second book in the Bewitching Mysteries by Madelyn Alt. The book is called A Charmed Death. The book takes close to Christmas and a local teenager is found dead. Maggie happened to wait on her the morning of her death. The things that come out about the girl shocks the whole town and who the murderer is. Maggie also learns more on her magical journey in this story.

Murder Most Frothy by Cleo Coyle

This was another great book in the Coffee House Mystery. This one takes in the South Hampton instead of New York City. Clara is helping her friend with his new restaurant in the South Hampton were a murder takes place at her friends place on the Fourth of July at a party he was throwing. Clara believes her friend was the intended victim even if he denies it. So she sets out to solve the crime. Madame, Clara's ex mother-in-law, is there as well as her daughter, Joy. By the end of the book Clara solves the mystery and meets a new friend along the way. I can not wait to read the next book in the series.

From Dead to Worse by Charlaine Harris

This was book eight in the Sookie Stackhouse books. It was as interesting as the first 7 books. Quinn goes missing after the Rhodes incident and Sookie finds out why and ends up dumping him. Bob the cat finally gets changed back to a man. Eric finally remembers his time spent with Sookie. Sookie also gets to meet her great-grandfather the fairy prince. The Louisiana vamps get taking over by the Nevada vamps. I can not wait to read the next book in this series.

The Trouble with Magic by Madelyn Alt

The Trouble With Magic by Madelyn Alt is the first book in her A Bewitching Mystery. Maggie O'Neill and Felicity Dow are the main two characters in these books. Maggie goes to work for Felicity in her store called Enchantments. Maggie is introduce to the world of witchcraft and paranormal through her boss who is a witch. There is a murder in the store and Felicity is blamed for and Maggie knows she did not do it set out to prove it. Most of the characters in this story were great to get know and you want to be there right with me. I can not wait to read the next book in this story.

All Together Dead by Charlaine Harris

All Together Dead by Charlaine Harris is one her Sookie Stackhouse book. This books is actually number seven in the series. This is a series that I have enjoyed reading. In this book Sookie goes with Queen of Louisiana to the Vampire Summit in Rhodes. This book has more of the vampires and Sookie only. Quinn is in it since he is part of the company that puts together the summits events.

If you have seen the True Blood TV show you need to read the books they are just as good but slightly different from them. I actually watch the show and compare what happens in the book to the show. I love the differences.

Dead End Dating by Kimberly Raye

Dead End Dating by Kimberly Raye is the first in the series called Dead End Dating. The main character Lil Marchette is a born-vampire who has started a dating service. Her dating service is for humans; vampires, born and made; as well as werewolves. One of her first clients is a born vampire who is geeky and the possibility for a match seems slim to Lil. Lil meets a made vampire who comes to worn her of a killer that is killing people who have use personal ads to find a date. The killer has been followed across the US and is believed to be in New York.

I actually enjoyed the book. It is listed as a romance but it is not what I would call a typical romance. Lil doesn't find a match for her self but several of her clients do get a match made for them.
